Krista Nathan
Krista has been practicing chiropody in the Durham and Clarington regions since 2012. She previously worked at King Physiotherapy and Foot Clinic from 2013-2024, until opening Newcastle Foot Clinic and Orthotics in June 2024. She is an energetic and passionate Chiropodist with a strong focus on ensuring her patients receive quality foot care.
Krista graduated from the Michener Institute with Distinction in 2012. Prior to that, she completed her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences at the University of Northern Iowa where she received a scholarship to play Division 1 soccer for the UNI Panthers. She competed in the Missouri Valley Conference where she was consistently ranked as one of the top goalkeepers in the NCAA over her four-year career.
These days, Krista lives in Whitby and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys hiking, playing sports, and baking.
Kathleen MacDonald
Kat is a detail-oriented and friendly professional with more than 7 years’ experience providing high-level administrative and operational support. She joins Newcastle Foot Clinic and Orthotics as the Business Manager overseeing the daily operations of the clinic.
Her passion for office management comes from her love for personal interaction and organizational excellence. Kat has extensive experience with all administrative tasks including scheduling and communications. Having held positions in clinical, transportation and publication fields, she brings a wide range of skills into her role.
Kat graduated from Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Conestoga College with a post-graduate certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications.
When not in clinic she loves reading, and exploring conservation trails with her dog, Amos Doggery.
Christina Garcia
Christina is a skilled and compassionate chiropodist who has been practicing since 2012. She earned her diploma in Chiropody from The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto.
Throughout her career, Christina has gained extensive experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams, wound care clinics, private practice, and long-term care facilities. Her diverse background allows her to provide comprehensive, patient centred foot care for individuals of all ages and activity levels.
Christina has a special interest in treating ingrown toenails and takes great satisfaction in helping her patients find lasting relief and comfort.
Outside of the clinic, Christina enjoys spending time with her two children. She is passionate about staying active through yoga, tennis, and ballroom dancing with her husband—and she brings the same discipline and dedication to her work that once helped her excel as a competitive bodybuilder.
Alexandra Sanidas
Alexandra Sanidas, Registered Chiropodist, has a strong educational background including a post-graduate Advanced Diploma of Health Sciences in Chiropody at The Michener Institute of Education at the University Health Network (UHN) in addition to a Bachelor’s of Health Sciences Degree majoring in Kinesiology from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT).
Alexandra has applied her expertise to service a wide variety of communities with their foot care needs including seniors, children, athletes, and those with complex medical conditions and individual needs. In addition to nail, skin and callus care, Alexandra provides treatment related to diabetes, neuropathy, heel pain/plantar fasciitis, bunions, and fungal infections. She provides custom made orthotics (including plaster casting), injections, ingrown nail surgery, foot taping, she is able to prescribe medications and provide modalities such as laser as needed.
